Tri-County Forensic League Spring Individual Events Tournament

El Camino had a few stars in today’s tournament, chief among them was Gabriel Salazar, who finished 5th in Impromptu Speaking, 6th in Spontaneous Argumentation (Spar), and ended up with a Certificate of Superiority in Original Interpretation, just one ranking point away from a trophy.
Shawn Haq also had a strong showing with his 6th place finish in Original Interpretation. Added to that, he also earned a Certificate of Superiority in Spontaneous Argumentation (Spar), just four speaker points away from the trophy level and another certificate in Impromptu as well.
Cassidy Block also did well in a number of events with his 13th place finish in Spar and a Certificate of Superiority in Impromptu, just one ranking point away from a trophy.
In this tournament, one of the most regular competitors for year, Mustafa Waheb, also trophied with his 8th place finish in Impromptu. Another new competitor this year, Tawny Goralick, also won an award (Excellence certificate) for her Storytelling piece.
Finally, Marlon Poroj and Emily Mercer earned a 2nd place trophy in Duo Interpretation, missing out to the team in first that picket fenced the tournament (i.e. came in first in each round).
