​Although, no El Camino novice competitor made it to the trophy tier, the team had a decent showing in Spontaneous Argumentation (SpAr). Cassidy Block led the squad with a 7 cume (and 85 Speaker Points) from the three rounds, thus earning a Certificate of Excellence. He was followed in order by Dawit Aklilu (9-77); Sarah Kiamanesh (9-74); Naomi Raal (10-78); and Laris Biageyian (10-75), all of whom were awarded Certificates of Excellence as well. Mustafa Waheb (12-79) and Ross Rosenthal (12-77) also had decent showings, but just came up short. Also, Tawny Gorlnick  threw her hat into the ring in Storytelling and ended up with a 10 cume and 77 Speaker Points.
